Michael James Photography

I love to take my creative touches and apply them to client photographs to create images that transcend typical portrait photography. I realize that it is an honor to be able to create images that will last you a lifetime, and I appreciate my position in being a part of that. I like to capture and create images that will capture not only your image, but your personality as well. If you are a client looking for your photos, or are interested in hiring me to do portraits for you, this is the place you want to go.

Band Photography

I've recently been getting involved in the Portland Band scene, and I love working with the bands to create awesome promo photos for them to use in their fliers and posters. This is actually something I do under the Michael James Photography name, but many of the people associated with the bands are familiar with my MJDigitalArt brand through the other works I do.. so I publish my Band Photos under MJDigitalArt.

MJDigitalArt Education

The digital age has arrived, we have fallen in love with our digital cameras. Unfortunately, many people are struggling with learning to use them. That is where I come in. Both independantly and through the Longview Parks and Rec department, I teach classes on basic digital photography, introduction and advanced Photoshop classes. I also organize workshops, and organized shoots to help people to better understand the various settings in their cameras. You can sign up for one of my classes, or you can hire me independantly to come to you and help you with any technical issues that you may be having with your camera or computer.

Northwest Glamour Photography

The NWGP is a group of people that I manage who have a passion for glamour photography. We dream up concepts and then use our models, makeup artists, stylists and costume designers to make those a reality. Due to the sensitive nature of some of the images the group is private, but if you are a prospective member, please inquire about joining our group, we're always looking for new talent. This is all strictly hobby related, and is a creative outlet for most of us.

MJDigitalArt Glamour Photography

This is where it all started... I love to shoot people, and I love to get creative shooting people. Through my work with models, I have developed my creativity, and my skills as a photographer. It is my work with models that has made me one of the most prolific photographers in the Southwest Washington area.

My work with models is not for everyone. While my work is not pornographic, some of my work involves content that involves mild nudity or situations that are not suitable for all viewers.
